The future is here! I aint going to say much cos I said it all when I described the Speedster. The Futura is the Speedster but better, plus the blue colour makes me pull harder. Just open your mind, it’s basically a vision thing, you know like what we thought climbing was all about in the first place.
Like I said I rarely have the ability to use the Speedster/Futura but I do at the moment, so I am gonna take advantage of my flexibility and ability to pull high off the hip. At the moment climbing seems really a fun thing so I am going with it, taking chances, and trying out new stuff, thus the Futura is in. Its easy for me to say, right, cos the gear appears by magic, but there you go in reality the Futura is expensive!
But even if the Futura is not for you, really seriously think about your climbing shoes. The better your shoes, the better you climb, it’s that simple, and it’s no effort extra to you. I was talking to a mate about him upgrading his shoe and he was being a stick in the mud about it, and then I used the analogy of cars, racing cars, and trucks, yep they are all different and they make you drive differently, so climb differently! It’s a vision thing. You buy..you fly!
